Welcome to the Diabetes UK

Mansfield Voluntary Group

Diabetes UK, the charity for people with diabetes, has a network of over 350 voluntary groups throughout the UK. The Mansfield group is one of these groups and supports people in the local area and covers Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield and surrounding districts.

The group aims to provide support, help, companionship, education and information for people and carers living with diabetes.

We welcome everyone affected by diabetes, whether newly diagnosed or longer term, along with carers, friends, relatives etc. There is always the opportunity to talk to other members of the group, ask questions and share experiences.

As well as holding nine meeting during the year (see "meetings") we also fundraise, and any items for tombola, raffle, or any ideas for fundraising will be gratefully received

Did you know that one person is diagnosed with diabetes every three minutes? That three people die from diabetes related complications every hour in the UK?

That's why Diabetes UK is asking you to sign up to GET SERIOUS. All you need to do is sign up and pledge to do something to support the campaign.

The more people take part - the more we achieve.

You can Campaign with Diabetes UK; volunteer your time for diabetes; become or introduce a supporting volunteer; fundraise; make a donation; adopt a healthier lifestyle.
